The Board of Directors of the Mosaic Society of Philadelphia met on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Chestnut Hill Presbyterian Church for their annual retreat. Last year’s retreat was held in multiple virtual sessions so all current board members were looking forward to meeting in person for the first time since the Spring of 2020. For a few of the newer board members, this was their very first time meeting the rest of the board in person.
The first order of business was to elect officers for a term of one year. The new officers are: President – Veronica Kairos, Recording Secretary – Judy Styles, Treasurer – Donna Mitchelson. The rest of the board, serving as Members-At-Large are: Alissa Blumenthal, Maureen Grossi, James Schlichting, Michele Sokoloff, and Lucinda Weller. Also in attendance, either in person or virtually, were Ilene Haas, Carol-Stirton Broad and Suzanne Daub.
Board members looked at our organization’s performance, mission statement and upcoming events, practiced team building skills and looked towards building a stronger future organization. Board members agreed to each oversee various functions within MSoP to help coordinate our functions and improve coordination within our organization. At the end of the day everyone agreed that MSoP has the potential for a vibrant future with potential for growth and increased opportunities for our members.
The board wishes the best to our board members stepping down after fulfilling their terms: Suzanne Daub, Ilene Hass, Jill Snyder and Carol Tinkelman. MSoP values your service and appreciates all that you brought to our organization while serving on the board.
