The Mosaic Society of Philadelphia is sponsoring an educational bus trip and private tour of Luna Parc.
Luna Parc is the semi-private museum, atelier, and private home of 21st century American multimedia artist Richard "Ricky" Boscarino located in Sandyston Township, New Jersey. Luna Parc comprises multiple buildings and outdoor art pieces set in an 8.5-acre densely-wooded landscape. These structures are built from metal, clay, glass, wood, rock, ceramic, cement, and ferro-cement. They are designed in a whimsical architectural style, featuring vivid colors, curving surfaces, detailed mosaic tiling, and incorporating unusual objects such as bowling balls and license plates. Touring Luna Parc is a truly unique experience and a great way to explore mosaics integrated into a functional setting. For more information about Luna Parc check out the artists website: lunaparc.com.
MSoP has arranged for a special guided tour by the artist for our members and guests. This a unique opportunity as normally Luna Parc is only open once or twice a year to the public. You will be transported via private motor coach from 30th Street station in Philadelphia to an artist’s magical vision and home.
This will be a full day trip leaving at 8:45 am and returning around dinner time. There will an opportunity to purchase lunch or bring a brown bag lunch.
Early tickets are $60/member, $70/guest before April 1. Prices increase on April 1 to $70/members, $80/guest.
