MSoP's next general meeting will be held Nov. 16 at Keneseth Israel in Elkins Park, where they are currently holding an exhibition of contemporary works entitled "Step into my Studio". Two of MSoP's members, Ricki Lent and Robyn Miller, are participating in the exhibit and will be on hand to answer questions and guide us through the exhibit.
For information about the exhibit, visit the Museum's web site. Specific information about the windows referenced on the site is also available.
We will also be focusing on the Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) that are traditionally exchanged during our meetings. The process will be explained, as well as the basics of andamento to encourage all to participate. A brown bag exchange of materials will be held, and with those materials participants are encouraged to get to their studios and create an ATC for the January meeting with the theme of "reflection or shiny". Bring enough materials that fit that description for someone else to create an ATC, and go home with new and interesting materials as a challenge to create your own! Be sure to put a card or piece of paper inside the brown bag with your name so the recipient knows who gave them the wonderful stuff!
The NOVEMBER ATC theme is Autumn/Fall.
See you there!
